Getting a Drivers Licence in WA

When you move to Perth from interstate of overseas, you will need to obtain a drivers licence within a 3 month period. Transferring your driver’s licence within that time is a legal requirement. If you hold a driver’s licence and you relocate to Western Australia (WA) from interstate, you must apply for a WA driver's licence within three months of living in the State. Those who relocate to Western Australia from overseas, or those on a permanent resident visa, will also need to apply for a WA driver’s licence within three months of living in the State.
